The Iowa Residential Utility Disruption Prevention Program

The Iowa Residential Utility Disruption Prevention Program, funded by the federal CARES Act, is administered by the Iowa Economic Development Authority and the Iowa Finance Authority, have announced that the application deadline has been extended through December 4, 2020.

Utility customers who have qualifying utility debt are urge to apply for assistance.

Iowa households experiencing a loss of income related to COVID-19 can apply for up to $2,000 in financial assistance if they have incurred unpaid electric, natural gas, or water bills between March 17 and October 31, 2020.
