1 Q: What are the incoming and outgoing mail servers?

A: In: pop3.indytel.com  Out: smtp.indytel.com

2 Q: How long does your mail server keep our email messages?

A: Our mail server is setup to purge email messages after 30 days.

3 Q: Do you do backups for email?

A: Because these files and folders can potentially get very large, we only store up to two days of backups.

4 Q: How can I check email when I am not at home?

A: Go to the upper right hand corner of  our homepage then click on the webmail link. This will ask for your user name (ex. johnsmith without @indytel.com),and your password. You can read, reply, forward, delete any new messages that have not been downloaded to your home computer.

5 Q: Can I hook up more than one computer to the internet?

A Yes, by networking them through a router.

6 Q: Does the cable internet use a phone line to connect.

A: No, the cable internet uses coaxial cable, and does not tie up your phone line.

7 Q: What does an 'always on' service mean?

A: Always on means that broadband is a permanent connection to the internet. A broadband connection lets you access the internet from the minute you switch on your computer.
